George Usborne/Osborne                     Baptised 1788 at Brenchley. First marriage to Mary -- before 1826  Mary was dead by 1847. Second marriage in 1847 in Rochester  to Ann Allard Knell.
George and Mary had at least 3 children, Rebecca, Eliza and Henry, 2 of whom were born Knightrider Street, Maidstone where they were living in 1841. Ann was a widow and a staymaker (corset maker), George was imprisoned in the Maidstone jail and he took his own life in jail on 3 July 1856 in Maidstone. His death record states that George was "not being at the time of sound mind".
