Mary Usborne                                       Baptised January 19th 1812 at Marden, Kent. Married in 1849 to Thomas Moon Died in Ashford in1867. Buried in Marden. Thomas died in 1891 in the Maidstone district.
Thomas was ten years her junior. He worked as a railway porter while she was a dress-maker with a live-in apprentice. They lived in Marden, moving in 1853 to New Town Road, Ashford where Mary's niece shared their house.. They had two children: Jane (b.1850); Stephen (b.1853). Thomas was a coal-merchant in Marden when he re-marrried to Hester Cox in 1869 and had three more children.
