Thomas was described as a "gent" of Fleet St in 1732 and a "leather seller" in 1749. In her will proved on 17th October 1768: Mary Usborne, widow, of Highgate, Hornsey, Middlesex leaves property to her nephews John & William Mills, her late son, Edward, of Snow Hill, London, having died insolvent.
